About

Xue Wang was born in northern China in 1980 and initially pursued a career in fashion, earning a BA degree from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Art. She relocated to London in 2002 to complete an MA, where she transitioned into visual art, establishing her studio there. Her work draws inspiration from childhood toys, dolls, Victorian aesthetics, vintage fashion, pin-up imagery, and the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures, blending surrealism with pop culture elements in intricate oil paintings characterized by dark wit and narrative depth.[2][3][4][5]
