About
Wendy Olsen is a Melbourne-based artist, sculptor, and designer whose work fuses the mundane with surreal elements, combining the quaint with the quirky to create playful, unsettling, and unique visual vocabularies. She draws inspiration from overlooked aspects of the natural world—the strange, small, and misshapen—emphasizing that beauty exists in imperfection. Previously a community development worker, she now lives as an artist, maker, and mother of two in the village of Cooran within Queensland’s Noosa Hinterland, where she finds joy in imagining, creating, caring for her land, and raising her children.
