About

Veronica Jaeger is a Venezuelan-born contemporary artist specializing in surreal portraits that blend human figures with geometric architecture, cosmic elements, and ancient structures, questioning human existence, reality, and the afterlife. Influenced by neoclassical and Renaissance portraiture, geometry, ancient architecture, Zecharia Sitchin's writings, and Brothers Grimm fairy tales, her work features women as superior beings or goddesses in series like 'Architecture of the Moon,' where subjects merge with pyramids and lunar motifs to evoke spiritual awakening and absurdity in perceived normalcy. She obtained her MFA from the University of Texas Pan-American in 2006 and has lived in South Texas, specifically Mission, Texas, since around 2000-2002.
