Vasilisa Romanenko
About
Vasilisa Romanenko is a Connecticut-based illustrator, designer, and fine artist known for her naturalistic fantasies that depict the mystery, beauty, and fragility of nature. Inspired by botany, natural history, ornate patterning, textile design, mythology, and fashion, her work features lush blooming gardens, birds, insects, fruits, and flowers, often rendered as windows into a magical fairy-tale world reminiscent of her childhood readings. Both of her parents are artists, which significantly influenced her artistic education, and she graduated with a degree in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Contemporary naturalistic fantasy with intricate botanical patterns and surreal elements evoking fairy tales and William Morris designs
