Teddy Cobeña Loor, born on April 16, 1973, in Portoviejo, Ecuador, is a figurative expressionist sculptor known for incorporating surrealist elements into his work. The son of hypnotherapist David Cobeña Vinces and fine arts teacher Judith Loor Rodríguez, he developed an early interest in anatomy during adolescence, influenced by a biography of Leonardo da Vinci. He began medical studies in Guayaquil at the University of Guayaquil and completed his training in Barcelona at the University of Barcelona as a radiologist and in preventive medicine, while simultaneously pursuing sculpture at the Massana School, Barcelona Academy of Art, and Florence Academy of Art. He now resides in Barcelona, Spain.[1][2][3][5]
