Stephanie Brown is an Atlanta-based multidisciplinary artist, photographer, and interactive installation artist, daughter of Jamaican immigrants, born and raised in South Florida, specifically Delray Beach, Florida. Her conceptual artwork explores identity construction among people of African descent, focusing on diaspora, memory, resilience, racial constructs, systematic racism, colorism, and the interplay between Jamaican, Black American, Caribbean, and African influences. She interweaves photography, object making, creative writing, and interactive installations rooted in historical research and familial narratives to empower individuals to redefine their identities.
