Shawn Adomanis (b. 1976) is a mostly self-taught contemporary artist specializing in surrealism, focusing on traditional media while experimenting with various styles and surfaces. He is currently developing a 30-part series titled 'Cultured Figures,' started in 2020, which features human and animal forms visualized through colorful patterns and irregular shapes derived from mold, fungal, and bacterial cell cultures, presenting a surreal world of organic beauty. For over 25 years, Adomanis has worked professionally as a digital designer, medical illustrator, 3D artist, programmer, and animator, currently serving as Creative Director in the life sciences industry with more than 20 years of experience.
