Scott Listfield
Contemporary Surrealism Oil painting
About
Scott Listfield is a contemporary American painter born in 1976 in Boston, Massachusetts, known for his surreal paintings featuring a lone astronaut exploring dystopian landscapes cluttered with pop culture icons, corporate logos, dinosaurs, and subtle social commentary on consumerism, technology, and alienation. He studied art at Dartmouth College and, after living abroad, began his astronaut series around 2001, inspired by 2001: A Space Odyssey. Balancing a full-time design job early in his career, he refined a singular vision over hundreds of paintings, developing a cinematic style blending surrealism and pop culture.
