About

Robyn Rich is a Melbourne-based contemporary artist known for her miniature oil paintings, particularly photorealistic eye portraits set in reused and recycled vintage objects. Working predominantly in oils from her home studio, she creates intimate narratives that comment on everyday experiences, capturing the beauty, emotion, and stories in the mundane and forgotten. Inspired by Georgian Lover’s Eyes, her work explores themes of emotion, health, individuality, and human connection, often symbolizing how we see and are seen by the world. Her personal experience with chronic illness has deepened her empathy and given her art a voice to connect beyond physical limitations.
