Osvaldo González Aguiar, born in 1982 in Camagüey, Cuba, is a contemporary artist known for his experimentation with space in painting and installations. He earned a BFA from the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) in Havana in 2006 and attended the School of Plastic Arts in Camagüey. His practice involves meticulous interaction with everyday materials like cardboard, duct tape, and plastic sheets, intertwining physical space and objects to create interior landscapes with affective and personal histories. He has lived and worked in Havana, Cuba, and currently resides in Madrid, Spain.[1][2][7]
Contemporary art focused on spatial experimentation, interior landscapes, and material decomposition with surreal elements.
