Masao Kinoshita
Contemporary Surrealism Sculpture
About
Masao Kinoshita is a contemporary Japanese sculptor and artist known for his surreal, imaginative works that blend influences from manga, Hindu mythology, and ancient Japanese characters. As a child, he was fascinated by images of muscular figures from American television and manga robots, passions that shaped his artistic vision. After graduating in Fine Art and Art History, he explored various media before discovering sculpture as the ideal outlet for his boundless imagination, creating pieces from fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) cast in plaster molds from clay prototypes, finished with oil paint and pencils.[3]
