About

Martina Hoffmann is a German-born visionary realist painter and sculptress renowned for her detailed depictions of inner landscapes inspired by dreams, meditation, shamanic journeys, and expanded states of consciousness. Her work emphasizes the sacred feminine, universal consciousness, and the mystical experience, often portraying the 'Universal Woman' in intimate cosmic settings that blend the fantastic with the sacred. Growing up partly in Cameroon, West Africa, she absorbed potent African imagery and energy, which influences her unique iconography, including psychedelic geometry, animals, and snakes. She studied sculpting at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, and has worked as both a painter and sculptress, designing book and CD covers such as Kitaro's 'Mandala'.[2][3][4][5][6][7]
