Mariusz Lewandowski was a Polish surrealist painter born in 1960 in Działdowo, Poland. He developed an early interest in art, influenced by surrealist masters such as Salvador Dalí and René Magritte, and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk under Stefan Gierowski. Living and working in the Warmia and Masuria region, his oil on canvas paintings explored the human mind, dreams, memories, and natural landscapes through techniques like glazing, layering, and impasto, creating symbolic works rich in contrast, light, and space that invited personal interpretation.
