Logan Zillmer
About
Logan Zillmer is an American conceptual and surreal photographer based in Michigan who creates imaginative compositions blending photography with digital manipulation. He began his artistic journey in high school shooting film and initially pursued documentary-style photography inspired by photographers like Henri Cartier-Bresson and Walker Evans. In January 2013, he undertook a transformative 365-day photography project, shooting one image daily for an entire year, which solidified his passion for photography and led him to discover his true calling in conceptual and surreal work. Zillmer's artistic practice is characterized by meticulous attention to detail and an obsessive creative process. He combines complex in-camera techniques with self-taught Photoshop post-production to create visually stunning narratives that explore mystery, comedy, and tragedy within everyday American landscapes and suburban settings. His work has earned recognition from major platforms, including being listed as one of Tumblr's 'Photographers to Watch.' Beyond photography, Zillmer holds a film degree from Full Sail University (2005) and aspires to write and direct films and long-form television, viewing his commercial and personal photographic projects as stepping stones toward his ultimate creative goals.
