About

Leonid Šejka (1932–1970) was a Serbian painter, architect, sculptor, and writer active primarily in Belgrade during the 1950s and 1960s. He began painting in 1950 and was a founding member of the Baltazar group, which evolved into the influential art collective Mediala in November 1957. Regarded as a key figure in postwar Serbian art, Šejka is known for his magical cityscapes, junkyard scenes, and contributions across multiple disciplines, including a significant body of sculptural and literary works.[1][2][3][4]
