Johnson Tsang
About
Johnson Tsang is a Hong Kong-based contemporary surrealist sculptor renowned for his realist techniques combined with imaginative surreal elements, specializing in ceramics, stainless steel, and public art. Born in Hong Kong in 1960, he began drawing at age four and developed a passion for 3D expression after working with modeling clay in school. After high school, he held various jobs and served 13 years in the Royal Hong Kong Police Force, starting clay modeling classes in 1991. In 1993, he resigned to pursue art full-time, initially teaching ceramics to support himself while self-teaching pottery, metalwork, and woodwork.
