Before the global pandemic, he committed to full-time artistic practice, allowing him to fully immerse himself in his creative work. Chen is a versatile artist working across multiple mediums, with his practice consistently exploring emotional, dark, and sometimes macabre subjects that capture the complexities of the human condition.
