Jack Caldow
About
Jack Caldow is a self-taught contemporary artist based in Melbourne, Australia, known for blending figurative and surreal elements in his oil paintings. Born in 1998 in Tweed Heads, Australia, he grew up surrounded by nature, influenced by his father's passion for tropical plants and a creative family environment that exposed him to music, art, books, and movies. He has no formal art training but began drawing from a young age and started oil painting about five years ago during his university studies in medical and environmental sciences. Currently in his mid-20s, he works as a science teacher or tutor while pursuing a Master's degree and transitioning art into a career, having begun public exhibitions last year.[1][2][3]
