About

Henrietta Harris is a New Zealand-based contemporary artist and illustrator renowned for her distorted and surreal portraiture that explores themes of identity, emotion, and the human condition. Born in 1984 in Kumeu, North-West Auckland, she grew up on a vineyard where her parents encouraged her artistic pursuits from a young age, fostering a lifelong passion for drawing and painting. After attending art school, she began her career creating gig posters for bands, which evolved into album covers and eventually solo exhibitions, marking her transition to professional painting with a focus on technically proficient, often disrupted portraits using watercolour, gouache, and oil on paper.
