About
Gerard Geer is an Australian contemporary artist specializing in skeletal sculptures that blend anatomy, chemistry, and surrealistic imagination to create fantastical creatures from animal bones. His fascination with biological processes began in childhood, spending time on family farms where he collected and examined bones, initially drawn to their shapes and forms before evolving into artistic articulations. Starting with simplistic, anthropomorphic designs, his work has progressed toward more naturalistic, lifelike animalistic structures, often using techniques like diaphonisation and crystallisation.[1][2][4]
