About
Post-war, Bott shifted to abstraction in 1948, aligning with the Second École de Paris and influences from Art Informel and artists like Nicolas de Staël. He developed a mature style blending abstract forms, bold colors, textures, and occasional surreal elements, exploring series like 'Espaces Concertés' and 'Cathédrales.' A prolific artist, he worked in painting, drawings, watercolors, gouaches, sculpture, glass painting, and stage design. From 1962, he lectured at Hamburg Art Academy, and later spent time in Ticino, Switzerland, continuing to exhibit across Europe until his death.
