Fran Rodríguez, known online as 'lacabezaenlasnubes' (Spanish for 'head in the clouds'), is a contemporary Spanish digital artist specializing in surrealism and psychedelia. Born in Torrelavega, Cantabria, in northern Spain around 1980, he initially pursued graphic design after realizing at age 20 that it was a practical career path. He worked for over a decade in advertising agencies and as a freelancer for clients including Prisa Group, Acción Contra el Hambre, Heineken, ING, HSBC, and Lucky Strike, gaining experience in art direction, animation, editing, and video postproduction. His early fascination with surrealism and psychedelia shaped his shift toward personal artistic expression, blending nature, fantastical elements, vibrant colors, abstract forms, outer space themes, astronauts, and faceless human figures to challenge perceptions of reality and explore the subconscious.[1][3][4][5]
