Ewa Prończuk-Kuziak
About
Ewa Prończuk-Kuziak is a Polish contemporary artist born in 1983 in Małkinia who lives and works in Warsaw, Poland. She studied Polish Philology at Warsaw University before pursuing fine arts education at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, Belgium, and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where she obtained an MFA in Painting in 2012. Her work in pop-surrealism has attracted collectors worldwide, particularly in the USA and Australia, where she regularly exhibits. Prończuk-Kuziak's artistic practice centers on creating surreal animal hybrids composed of diverse materials including fur, feathers, eggshells, woven fabrics, clouds, plants, and flowers. She uses intensely saturated colors to illustrate the vibrancy of her imaginative worlds, combining still life, nature, and fantasy elements. Her animals serve as personifications of human emotions and stories, functioning as a medium to communicate complex feelings and explore life's contrasts—the beautiful and fragile, the predictable and unpredictable aspects of existence.
