About

Jorge Dos Diablos is a Mexican contemporary artist born in Jalisco, Mexico, in 1982, hailing specifically from Guadalajara. He lives and works in Zapopan, Mexico, and is known for his surreal, terror-filled works that explore deep subconscious fears, demonic creatures, mutated humanoids, and themes drawn from Christian iconography and religious anthropology. Coming from a Catholic family, his art reflects childhood memories and interpretations of nuns and religious figures, often using oil paints to create textured, physical brushstrokes that evoke a traditional mastery of craft. His pseudonym 'Dos Diablos' (Two Devils) is inspired by the Mexican LoterĂa game card 'El Diablito,' chosen for a more engaging signature than his personal name.
