Deborah Stevenson
About
Deborah Stevenson is a contemporary artist specializing in collage and painting, known for her surrealist-inspired works that explore themes of power, beauty, the Feminine, and archetypal symbology influenced by Eastern philosophy and Jungian psychology. Born in Washington, DC, she grew up in Tokyo, attended high school in Baltimore, and earned her BA from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY, in 1975. Other sources mention a B.A. in Fine Arts from Adams State College and a Masters in Anthropology from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, suggesting possible additional education. She has lived extensively on the West Coast, including Colorado and Nevada (moving there in 2004), worked in museum curation, and recently relocated to Brooklyn, New York.
