David Lee Pereira
About
David Lee Pereira is a practicing visual artist based in Australia, known for his work in contemporary surrealism. His oeuvre includes paintings, illustrations, large-scale murals, and public installations that explore the fluidity of gender, sexuality, and identity, often through themes of dysphoria and interpersonal relationships. Drawing inspiration from impressionist and surrealist masters such as Georgia O’Keeffe, Salvador Dalí, and Edvard Munch, as well as baroque ikebana and Dutch still life traditions, Pereira's floral expressions range from beautifully brutal to joyous and intimate, rich with symbolism and narrative reflecting the human experience.
