Chris Dyer
About
Chris Dyer is a Peruvian-Canadian visionary artist renowned for his psychedelic, spiritually infused artwork influenced by skateboarding, surfing, and psychedelic experiences. Born in Canada, he grew up in Lima, Peru from age 4 to 17, where he immersed himself in 1980s skateboarding, 1990s surfing, street culture, and early artistic pursuits amid challenges like substance abuse, violence, and a hyper-masculine environment at an all-boys school. Transitioning from a punk and metalhead skater kid to a hippie in his early 20s through tree planting, hitchhiking across Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, and beyond, he began expressing his spiritual side around 2001, channeling psychedelic journeys with substances like ayahuasca and bufo into his trippy, colorful, tribal-influenced paintings, drawings, murals, and street art.[1][2][3][4][5]
