Brian Cheung is a Melbourne-based visual artist, illustrator, graphic designer, and occasional photographer whose practice centers on painting, drawing, illustration, lettering, and photography, emphasizing analogue mediums, process, and technique. His work explores themes of place, space, surroundings, natural forms, and figurative surrealism, often inspired by travel, residencies, and personal reflections on man-nature relationships amid uncertainty. Cheung uses these experiences to document his thoughts, feelings, and anxieties, as seen in his solo exhibition 'WHERE ARE WE NOW?' at Tinning Street Gallery in November, addressing motivations and the cost of environmental change.[1][2]
