Amy Guidry (b. 1976, Jacksonville, N.C.) is an American contemporary surrealist artist residing in Lafayette, Louisiana. She grew up in Slidell, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans, in a family of artists including her mother and brother, which sparked her early passion for drawing and painting from around age three. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from Loyola University in 1998, while also studying psychology, influences that shape her exploration of the human psyche, relationships with nature and animals, the life cycle, and environmental themes through surrealism.
