About

Alex Pardee is an American artist known for his grotesque, hyper-detailed, and colorful illustrations rooted in lowbrow art, influenced by horror comics, Garbage Pail Kids, and Santa Cruz skateboard graphics. Born on February 5, 1976, in Antioch, California, he began drawing at age 14 during a hospital stay as a form of therapy, developing a style blending playful parody with disturbing imagery. He self-published early works by photocopying sketches into homemade books distributed in public spaces and released his first professional book, My Book of Colors, in 1999 after friends encouraged him.
