Adrien Dax was a French Surrealist painter born in Toulouse in 1913 and died there in 1979. Described as a solitary painter, his work is rarely exhibited but is known for its experimental qualities within the Surrealism movement and association with the Phases painting school. His art features abstract and surreal elements, as seen in works like 'Untitled' from 1960.
